Our Foster Program
The foster
program is responsible for re-homing shelter animals. The animals are
taken directly from the shelter to a vet, and then placed in a foster
home for a quarantine period. While the animals are in foster care, they
are treated as part of the family, and taught basic commands. Animals
from foster care are then transported to an adoption facility, rescue
group, or adopted right here in the county. We also take care of animals
that belong to women in the Path program. This keeps the animals safe,
and allows women and children the emotional safety net they need to
leave an abuser. The foster program provides cat and dog food through
donations, for the foster families, the Path families, and also for the
seniors who receive Meals on Wheels that require help to feed their
pets. We work hard to make sure our animals are healthy and happy. We
can always use help with our foster program.
