The information below was prepared with the guidance of Maddies’ Fund and is based on the ASILOMAR Accords. The calculated LIVE RELEASE RATE (LRR) of dogs and cats in our community is 28.9%. There has been more progress in saving the lives of dogs compared to cats. Dogs have a live release rate (LRR) of 40% as a result of intense adoption and rescue efforts. Cats have a live release rate of 13%.

The Community Pet Center and the Animal Protection Alliance of Rutherford County is working closely with two other coalition members, Rutherford County Humane Society and Rutherford County Animal Control in compiling information that will reflect lifesaving efforts in total.
